Who we are
Our charity name, Association Violet, was inspired by our founder’s grand-daughter, Violet.
It was informally established in 2019 under the Banner “Walking4Violet”. A personal fundraising challenge by David Jeapes to walk to walk one million steps from his home in SW France to Violet’s home in Hastings UK
The success of our early fundraising activities encouraged us to continue to raise funds. In 2021 we became formally registered as an French Association (Charity). We are committed to community engagement and fundraising in support of children and families living with lifelong disabilities, with a focus on children locally.
This is Violet, the inspiration for all we have achieved to date. She has a rare combination of medical conditions which include epilepsy, dystonia and cerebral palsy. Violet was born with these lifelong conditions and will need help and support for her whole life. She has a very supportive family and care giving network but struggles each and every day with the most basic of activities.

Meet the Team
We are a small, but dedicated group of volunteers, working to raise awareness of the challenges faced by families of children with a range of lifelong disabilities. We aim to raise funds for these children, and their families, to address their complex needs for essential equipment, therapies and respite care.
