Who we are
Association Violet was informally established in 2019 under the Banner “Walking4Violet”, a personal fundraising challenge to walk one million steps by David Jeapes, inspired by his grand-daughter, Violet.
The success of initial fundraising activities encouraged the founders to establish Association Violet in 2020 to raise funds for other children living with similar disabilities. In 2021 it became formally registered as an Association (Charity) in France, committed to community engagement and fundraising in support of children living with lifelong disabilities, with a focus on children locally.
This is Violet, the inspiration for all we have achieved to date. She has a rare combination of medical conditions which include epilepsy, dystonia and cerebral palsy. Violet was born with these lifelong conditions and will need help and support for her whole life. She has a very supportive family and care giving network but struggles each and every day with the most basic of activities.
Meet the Team
We are a small, but dedicated group of volunteers, working to raise awareness of the challenges faced by families of children with a range of lifelong disabilities. We aim to raise funds for these children, and their families, to address their complex needs for essential equipment, therapies and respite care.
